Silvia A. Cota, MBA, BSN, RN, CEN
Silvia Cota joined Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk in July 2024 as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to this role, Ms. Cota served as Director of Patient Care Services at South Shore University Hospital from December 2020 – June 2024. Ms. Cota began her career as an emergency room nurse at North Shore University Hospital in 2008 before joining Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan in 2010 first as a Registered Nurse (RN), then Assistant Nurse Manager, and then Nurse Manager in the emergency room. Ms. Cota is a certified emergency nurse (CEN), is trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and served as a faculty member for Northwell where she taught a course in comprehensive management of stroke. She earned her MBA from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, UT, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Thomas Edison State University in Trenton, NJ.
